I am Lola Bou, a woman of many hats. Singer, actress, songwriter, dancer, and a few more things… I’ve been at this my whole life, with the exception of a couple of existential parentheses.

Born in ’77, I’ve had time to come and go, get lost, find myself again… I have two children and I’m an adventurer. I take what happens to me to grow and create. I love my work, I’m lucky, and I feel the strength to continue. You know? This is a marathon, with ups and downs, surprises, and no stability. You have to be brave, take risks, and be eager to live in constant change, tolerate uncertainty, and face it every day. Dreams may never come true, but not walking towards them is truly boring.

More specifically, speaking of what you’re supposed to want to know through my website, I participate in artistic projects as a singer-songwriter, actress, composer, singer, announcer, and dancer. Expressing myself with voice, body, music, and words frees me and connects me with other people, especially those with similar sensibilities. Perhaps with you;)

I believe that art, in any of its forms, transforms people, breaks down walls, and builds a better society. I love my work, it’s vocational, and I feel fortunate to be able to dedicate my life to it.

I create songs. I write lyrics and compose music for both my own singer-songwriter project and in collaboration with other artists.

My discography began in 2003, with the album “Boleros y tangos de la mano” alongside guitarist Gustavo Battaglia. In 2007, I released “Instants eterns,” my first album as a singer-songwriter. This was followed by “La ment en blau” in 2010, which received two nominations for the Premis Ovidi (best song and best design). In 2020, along with guitarist and composer Manel Brancal, we released “Tallat en dos,” nominated for the Premis Ovidi for “best singer-songwriter album,” and in 2023 “Fràgil,” nominated for the Premis Ovidi for “best design.”

I also set poems by other poets to music. In 2022, one of these compositions (based on the poem “Conjugació en primera persona” by Carmelina Sánchez-Cutillas) was awarded First Prize at the IV National Song Contest of the UNED, in Madrid.

Additionally, I participate as an actress in theater, audiovisual, and multidisciplinary projects. I collaborate as a singer and musician with other artists and also lend my voice to advertising voiceovers.

My training as a Musical Theater actress, from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, and my background as a dancer in various styles, allow me to perform versatile interpretations in different types of shows or projects.
